Murchison Skyline Walkway

  • Walking

The Murchison Skyline Walkway zigzags through mixed beech and podocarp forest, native ferns and bracken and broom covered slopes on the outskirts of Murchison.

The views from the skyline take in a number of rivers in the area. The largest of these is the Buller River, known as Kawatiri in Māori, which means deep and swift. The skyline also offers views to Kahurangi National Park in the north.
