Major updates for Commission's websites

The Commission is continuing to develop its online presence, launching a redeveloped version of its website and progressing projects to improve its Walking Access Mapping System and Both Sides of the Fence education portal.

Chief executive Mark Neeson said the re-design of www.walkingaccess.govt.nz would modernise the site, making it more visually appealing and simplifying the navigation to make it easier for visitors to find what they were looking for.

The new-look website would also allow the Commission to better showcase the outdoor experiences that are an integral part of New Zealand's culture and heritage, Mr Neeson said.

“A revised website is something we have been planning for some time. We wanted to modernise the site, make it easier to navigate and encourage visitors to better understand the work of the Commission. It's been a few years since the creation of the website, and over time users have come to expect a more visual and user friendly experience.â€
