Top Outdoor Spot 2020
Would your children rather be somewhere else now?
So your kids are stuck at home. At least they can remember the wonderful places they have been, and they can plan great trips for the future. If they enter our Top Outdoor Spot competition, they could win great outdoor prizes for themselves and their class. All they need to do is send us a photo, an artwork or a short piece of writing about their favourite outdoor spot. The competition runs until 4 July 2020.
The Walking Access Commission Top Outdoor Spot 2020 competition promotes access to and enjoyment of the outdoors.
School-aged children just need send in a photo, artwork or poem/story of their favourite outdoor spot.
The top three entries in each category won a prize pack for themselves and/or their class. The three categories are:
- Best Photo
- Best Art, and
- Best Writing
This competition is targeted at school years 4-8, but younger or older students can take part too.
FIRST PRIZE for each category is, from Kiwi Camping: an event chair, a Koru Kids sleeping bag, emergency poncho, Dynamo LED torch, Kubb game, towelling hat, and bird stickers. And from Skellerup: Red Band gumboots.
The school of the winning student also receives a copy of Nature Heroes, by Gillian Candler and published by and Potton & Burton, and a $300 voucher for a school day trip to a nearby outdoor walk or trail plus trip advice from a local Walking Access Commission Regional Field Advisor.
