Please complete the form below.  Once you have entered successfully your entry will be moderated by the Walking Access Commission Ara Hikoi Aotearoa and will then appear in the competition gallery.

Terms & Conditions

  1. The competition targets year 4-8 students. However, the competition is open to all school-age children living in New Zealand. Close relatives and anyone otherwise connected with the Commission or judging of the competition may not enter 
  2. The Commission will only accept one entry per student, per category. 
  3. The closing date for entries will be 4 July 2020. 
  4. Contributions from students must be original work created by the student. Please do not include any works from other people or sources that could infringe copyright or intellectual property ownership. 
  5. Photos should not include identifiable people without their consent. 
  6. The text for story and poetry entries should be no longer than 2000 characters. 
  7. Contributions can be in any language, but please include an English translation. 
  8. The Commission reserves the right to exclude any entry at its sole discretion.  
  9. The Commission does not accept responsibility for entries not received for whatever reason. 
  10. The Commission reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition or these terms and conditions without notice. 
  11. The Commission is not responsible for inaccurate prize or competition details supplied to any entrant or school by any third party. 
  12. The prizes are as stated and no cash or other alternatives will be offered. The prizes are not transferable. 
  13. Following the closing date, the Commission will shortlist and then decide the winners. Shortlisted and winning entries will be informed via the contact details provided. No correspondence will be entered into in regards to the judging decisions made. 
  14. The Commission will make all reasonable attempts to contact the teachers of the winners using details provided on their entry forms. Should those attempts fail, the Commission will select another winner. 
  15. By entering the competition winners agree to the Commission publishing their names, photographing them and/or interviewing them so that the Commission may use their names and photographs and/or interviews for publicity purposes. 
  16. By entering the competition entrants grant the Commission an ongoing non-exclusive right to use the entry to promote the competition, and/or the Commission’s other education promotions and activities. 
  17. The Commission will not share any personal or identifying data from the competition with any third parties.
