Mapping system continues to impress

The New Zealand Walking Access Commission would like to thank all those who provided feedback through its Walking Access Mapping System 2013 user survey.

The survey was conducted by the Commission in February and March of this year, receiving 224 responses. A $300 petrol voucher was won by Kerry O'Rourke from Canterbury, as a randomly drawn spot prize for completing the survey.

According to the survey's preliminary findings, 98 per cent of respondents found the information provided by the mapping system useful and 92 per cent would recommend the system to others. The vast majority of respondents (87 per cent) said the system was easy to use, and 95 per cent said they were likely to continue using the system in future.

New Zealand Walking Access Commission Chief Executive Mark Neeson said it was good to see that the mapping system was continuing to receive positive reviews from users.

“Over the past 12 months we've added a mobile version of the mapping system, new user tools and the ability for third party organisations to upload their own access-related information. There's still room for improvement, but it's heartening to see that these major changes have been well received by users.â€
