It's that time of year when most New Zealanders look forward to a few well deserved weeks off with friends and family.
Many will spend at least a little bit of time in the outdoors; tramping, fishing, kayaking, picnicking, horse riding or just lazing on a beach.
Whatever it is you're into, don't forget to access the outdoors responsibly. Always ask permission before crossing private land and be respectful of other outdoorspeople.
For information about responsible behaviour in the outdoors, take a look at the New Zealand Outdoor Access Code on this website.
