Code key to enjoying the outdoors this summer

New Zealanders are encouraged to 'follow the Kiwi way' and avoid potential problems in the outdoors this summer by reading the New Zealand Outdoor Access Code.

New Zealand Walking Access Commission Chief Executive Mark Neeson said understanding how to act responsibly when accessing the outdoors was vital to maintain New Zealand's special outdoor access culture.

“Summer in New Zealand means a trip to the country for many New Zealanders but all too often people who are unaccustomed to rural life are unaware of behaviours we take for granted.â€
